The origin of "pootis" came from the phrase PUT DISPENSER HERE, as said by the Heavy. It was used to call an engineer to put down a dispenser, but was eventually cut down to PUT DIS, which sounded like "pootis". After this event, the phrase went viral.

The Adventures of Pootis Man was a video series created by MisterMisteroO. It increased the popularity of "pootis", and actually made a story about it. It is about a special Heavy who calls himself POOTIS MAN! and goes to do nonsense and fight crime in his everyday (weird) life.
